Maharaja Camp - Glamping

Overnight desert camp under the open sky experience the sky full of stars, milky way with a bright desert moon.

Maharaja Camp – Glamping

Maharaja camping, or glamping as it’s so-called, is one of the newly travel styles that’s really catching on.

Our living desert Thar in Rajasthan has much to offer happy glampers as luxury tented camps are being set up around Jodhpur on the way to Jaisalmer in the desert landscape and on farms.

We offer our two personally selected lesser known desert camping locations around Jodhpur, the best places to go glamping or tented camps in Rajasthan to inspire your soft adventures.

Sunset camel ride and local folk music dance in the evening.

Your Tent Accommodation

Large canvas tents built on a base of sandstone set away from it all on desert scrub.

Each tent has an exterior relaxing area, a spacious bedroom, and attached bathroom.

Opens from October to Mid March.

Our recommended duration of stay will be two nights. One night if you have limited time.

** Slow holiday travellers opt for one night Maharaja camp glamping and one night ‘The Jhumpa’ huts stay at HACRA Dhani to experience the real difference!

Please contact us if you are interested in the above experience or want to choose your own duration with interest you have in mind according to your holiday time.

Our Happy Customers

What an oasis in the desert we have had never stayed with Mr Singh and his family. A welcome contrast to the hustle bustle of the big cities we have seen. We enjoyed seeing the black bucks, baby antelopes and peacocks. Most of all we enjoyed the quiet. The food was delicious and we appreciated the less spicy breakfast as our stomach were still a bit sensitive. The hut was charming and cosy. Many thanks and many wishes for success with your venture.

We surely had an amazing time in Hacra Dhani. The hospitality provided by the family was incredible and the quiet of the village and very nice break of the hustle of the big cities. The experience of the desert was amazing as we were lucky enough to see antilopes during our camel ride. We were very surprised by the eco-friendly way of getting things done in the middle of the desert.  We want to wish all the happiness and heaalth for Gemar and his family and prosperity for the years to come.
